Publication Timeline and Process
DHI follows a structured publication timeline of 3 months (Approx. 90 days) for timely dissemination of research. The process from submission to publication follows the below timeline:
- Submission: Authors submit their manuscripts through our online submission portal.
- Initial Review (10 days): Our editorial team evaluates submissions within 10 days to confirm alignment with the journal’s focus and publication critera.
- Peer Review (40 days): Manuscripts that meets the initial review criteria undergoes a rigorous 40-day peer review, during which experts assess quality, originality, and relevance of the submission.
- Revision (30 days): Authors receive feedback and are given 30 days to revise their manuscripts.
- Final Decision (10 days): Once revisions are submitted, the editorial team makes a final decision within 10 days. This decision may result in acceptance, further revisions, or rejection; in some cases, a second round of peer review is initiated.
- Publication: Accepted articles are published in the next available issue of the journal after copyediting, proofreading and typesetting.
DHI is published biannually, with one issue featuring submissions received through open calls and the other dedicated to rolling submissions.
