CALL FOR PAPERS FOR THE FIRST GENERAL ISSUE

Digital Humanities Intersections (DHI) invites submissions for its upcoming General Issue, which aims to showcase innovative and theoretically informed research at the intersection of digital methodologies and humanities scholarship. As digital humanities continue to evolve, we seek contributions that critically engage with computational approaches, interdisciplinary frameworks, and the broader epistemological, ethical, and sociocultural implications of digital research.
Scope and ThemesWe welcome submissions that explore a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:
- Multilingual Digital Humanities
- Critical Digital Studies
- Digital Archiving and Preservation
- Computational Linguistics
- Scientometric Research
- Artificial Intelligence and Data Science in Digital Humanities
- Spatial Humanities
- Digital Media Studies
- Digital Pedagogy and Multimodal Scholarship
- Community Digital Humanities
- Open Science and Scholarly Infrastructure
- Postcolonial Digital Humanities
Submission Categories
We accept submissions in the following categories:
- Research Articles (up to 8,000 words)
- Reviews (up to 5,000 words)
- Methods Papers (up to 5,000 words)
- Case Studies (up to 5,000 words)
- Theoretical and Conceptual Essays (up to 3,000 words)
Submission Guidelines
Before submitting, authors should ensure that:
- The manuscript adheres to the word limits specified for its category.
- The submission is formatted according to the Chicago Manual of Style (Author-Date format).
- Any figures, tables, or multimedia elements are properly cited and formatted.
- The document is anonymized for double-blind peer review (no identifying information in the manuscript).
- A separate title page includes the author(s)’ name, affiliation, and contact details.
- The manuscript is submitted in Word (.docx) format.
- Supplementary materials (images, tables, datasets, multimedia elements, etc.) should be submitted as a separate ZIP folder. Ensure that all files are properly labeled and referenced within the main manuscript.
- Permissions have been obtained for any copyrighted materials included in the submission.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Submissions should be made through the DHI Journal Submission Portal. Authors are encouraged to review the journal’s submission guidelines, publishing policies, and code of ethics before submission.
Key Dates- Submission Deadline: June 5, 2025
- Notification of Acceptance & Revision Requests: August 5, 2025
- Revised Manuscripts Due: September 5, 2025
- Publication of the Issue: October 15, 2025
